Meet Meredith and the Dixie Devil Ladies!

Meredith Zohar, the owner and CEO of Dixie Devil™, grew up in the Southern part of Virginia.  She was Miss Virginia-USA 1998, Top Ten Miss USA and the Miss USA Style Award winner.  She was the mom to a spoiled German Shorthaired Pointer named Miss Dixie.  Miss Dixie is the brand namesake. Her memory lives on through Dixie Devil. Sadly Miss Dixie passed away in January 2018. A heartbreaking loss for the Zohar family. The family is now happily accompanied by, Charlie, an Australian Sheppard, as full of energy as their beloved, Miss Dixie.  Meredith is the proud mother of two daughters.

A diverse background as a swimsuit/fitness model, cyclist, runner and triathlete; Meredith has gained invaluable knowledge through many hours of wearing and training in performance apparel.  She is a sub-3 hour Marathoner, running a speedy 2:58 in her first marathon at the age of 42. She’s an Ultra-Marathoner placing first in AG in her first Ultra at the grueling Northface Endurance Challenge in Marin County, CA. She is also Boston Marathon finisher, has raced in Ironman 70.3 World Championships with multiple qualifications. She won the Planet Ultra KOM Overall Female Century Challenge in her first ultra cycling event, a mere 2 years after learning to “clip in” at the Age of 40, among numerous other run and triathlon podium and 1st place finishes.

A Dean's List and Honor's Society graduate, Meredith received degrees in Fashion and Marketing and has studied Communications as well.  She knows what it takes to create the right combination of function, comfort and style needed to produce a fashion forward, high-performance brand.

Additionally, Meredith spent many years working as a private tailor and stylist for professional athletes and business executives. Dixie Devil™ was born out of her passion for the sport of triathlon; and love of the meticulous detail involved in creating custom tailored apparel.  Dixie Devil’s inspiration comes from Bohemian Chic styling currently on trend in leading Fashion Houses.

Growing up in thecoal mining towns of the Appalachian Mountains, Meredith realized the plight, struggles and hardship that people go through and consequently she whole-heartedly believes in the importance of "giving back".  A true Coal Miner's daughter, without forgetting where she came from, Meredith has worked with animal and human well-fare charities throughout her life.  Being of service, making a contribution and giving back is incorporated in Dixie Devil's business model.  Dixie Devil™ is involved with and supports The American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Challenged Athletes Foundation and CA GSP Rescue.

Meredith’s parents lived through example, she hopes to pass along the importance of giving back to her children.  Dixie Devil's goal is to create a community of women who support one another in training, giving, life and YES wearing really cool clothes!!
